From Nurse to Runway: Rosefaith’s Journey of Beauty with Purpose
Beauty with Purpose come to life as Rosefaith, a registered nurse, transforms her dreams of modeling into reality in her inspiring journey.
A New Path: Nursing Career
She started her nursing career, and within a few years, she became a bachelorette-trained registered nurse, securing a job at one of the most prestigious hospitals in Dallas. Yet, the dream of modeling never faded.

In 2020, she first attempted to compete for Miss Kenya USA while juggling work and studies. However, the pandemic forced the cancellation of the event. Instead of viewing this as a setback, Rose used the time for introspection and planning her next steps.
“I went back and did a soul search,” Rose explains.
When she heard about a friend’s involvement in providing shelter for people without housing, Rose was initially drawn to this cause. However, later, Rose realized she could make a more significant impact by using her background in healthcare. Rose’s experiences as an ICU nurse and a near-fatal accident survivor led her to a new mission of promoting health and wellness.
People are very busy, and sometimes, we can neglect our health by tending to our busy schedules.
Rose, however, emphasizes the importance of proactive health management, especially within diaspora communities where preventive care is often overlooked.
“Your health is your wealth,” she says. “It doesn’t matter how rich you are. If you fall sick today, your money is not going to save your health.”
Seizing the Moment Again
In her late 20s, an unexpected opportunity arose. She learned of a Kenyan modeling academy competition, and something sparked within her. This was the moment she had to decide whether to follow societal norms, or face her fears and insecurities about competing against younger girls and give it a shot!.
Rose decided to take a bold leap despite the younger competitors. She giggled softly, recalling her thought process: “I realized that if I didn’t try now, I would always wonder, ‘What if?’”
Rose entered the competition and poured every ounce of her smile, attitude, and pose into each walk down the runway. To her, it wasn’t about winning. It was about saying “yes” to herself and showing up for her dreams.
In the end, she secured the 5th position.
For many, it might just be a number, but for Rose, it was a victory—a life-changing moment where she chose to listen to her heart and honor her long-held dream.

Beyond the Stage
“This is an experience that I will cherish always,” Rose reflects. It was a defining moment where she broke stereotypes and embraced both her faith and her passion. She realized that her dreams didn’t have to contradict her values. In fact, they could coexist beautifully.
As I spoke with her after the event, she laughed softly, thinking about her younger self, who had once feared judgment and doubt. “I wouldn’t trade this experience for anything,” she said. “If I were to go back, I would use my gap in age and experience to my advantage.”
She wants every woman to know that it is never too late to jump into what sets your soul on fire. “If there’s something you want to do, at least give it a shot and say you tried.”
A New Dream on the Horizon
Today, Rose is a registered nurse who started in the ICU, and she’s now getting more experience in the emergency department. She’s also working to bridge the gap between her community and healthcare while educating them on healthy lifestyle choices across her social platforms.

But her dreams don’t stop there.
She envisions opening a modeling school that runs on godly values and principles. “I want to create a space where young girls and women can learn to express their beauty and talents without compromising their faith,” she says.
Her definition of beauty is character, compassion, and a thirst for knowledge. This view of beauty aligns perfectly with her professional ethos as a nurse. Rose’s core values—compassion, respect, integrity, and excellence—guide her actions both in healthcare and on the pageant stage.
“It’s about redefining what it means to be a model in today’s world,” Rose adds. “We can be beautiful, intelligent, and purposeful.”
Parting Shot To The Woman Who’s Scared Of Chasing Her Dream
Rose challenges every woman reading her story to break free from the chains of societal expectations and take a step toward their dreams. Her message is simple:
“Do not let age, society, or fear stop you from living your dreams. Step out and give it a shot.”
