How To Teach Kids How To Pray
To teach kids how to pray is a vital aspect of their spiritual growth, and Sabina, my first Christian author to write about, embodies this mission.
My first interaction with Sabina was interesting. She posted about her book launch, and I got curious. I followed up with a question, and quite frankly, the answer she gave me aroused my curiosity even further.
We set a time to chat, and I can’t tell you everything, but I will let you in on a little secret. After a few days of reflecting on our conversation, I realized that this book launch was a must-go.
On that faithful day, as my daughter and I drove to the launch, it was raining cats and dogs. Something was different, though, as we stepped through the main entrance of Calvary Church in Richardson, TX.
The sound of worship filled the atmosphere. Boy, I was eager to join the worship. The presence of God was palpable as people lifted their hands in praise and worship. I couldn’t help but feel grateful to be in such a sacred space at such a time.
Among the worshippers, I had the pleasure of meeting Sabina, a young woman with a radiant spirit. Adorned in a majestic pink gown, she exuded grace and humility.
As she shared her journey, Sabina’s voice reflected awe at God’s work and deep gratitude for becoming a published author.
Where it started
“It has been a long journey,” she reflects. “God spoke to me to write three books.”
Sabina is a devoted family woman and the president of Joy the Warrior Foundation, a non-profit organization in Texas that empowers families with special needs children.
She is also a Sunday school teacher at Victory Chapel, where she teaches Sunday school in her community.
What was Sabina’s inspiration for writing this book?
“I was looking for a kid-friendly book to introduce prayer to my class, but I could not find one, so I started a mission to write my own.”
Thankfully, her supportive family stood with her and encouraged her throughout the book-writing process.

Back at the book launch ceremony, the intimate setting, filled with heartfelt worship, set the tone. Speakers echoed a powerful message: ‘Nurture our children through prayer and inclusivity.’
Two elements stood out to me during the event.
The atmosphere charged with gratitude and reverence, and Sabina’s impactful book itself.
From her heartfelt expressions of thanksgiving to the prayers offered by Evangelist Hilder Kahia and Pastor Lily Muniu, every moment was filled with spiritual significance.

The book
Sabina’s book, “Prayers of Protection by the Blood of Jesus Christ,” holds a special place in my heart.
In times when we face all kinds of threats, it emphasizes the power of God’s protection. Specifically, the promise found in Psalms 18:30— our protection comes from God.
When we are prone to all kinds of attacks, physical or spiritual, those who trust in the Lord find him to be a strong protector. He shields those who take refuge in him.
With illustrations and kid-friendly wise lessons, Sabina’s book shows children that prayer can be a powerful protection.
As a parent, I am grateful for Sabina’s dedication to nurturing our children’s spiritual growth. Her book is a valuable resource for parents to teach their children the importance of prayer and faith.
I wholeheartedly endorse “Prayers of Protection.”

I also echo Sabina’s call to ensure that every child, whether our own or our neighbors, receives the blessing of this profound message.
In closing, let us heed Sabina’s words and strive to empower the next generation with the knowledge that true safety lies in God. Let us embrace prayer and ensure that “Prayers of Protection” finds its way into the hands and hearts of our children. Until then, may we all walk in the empowerment of God’s grace.
