Finding Strength In Crying Out To God

Feeling lost and overwhelmed? This post offers encouragement and reminds you of the strength available when you are crying out to God.

Lets dive in!

One of the many things I enjoy during my me time is chilling and sipping African tea from my big Old cup. Quite frankly, it’s not the tea but the big Old cup. (Story for another day).

But the other day, as I was enjoying my tea, I walked down memory lane, and boy, there were some instances I wanted to scream, and others I just laughed myself out of the chair.

I have had great experiences, been to places I never dreamt of, and had some terrible experiences and some ugly ones here and there, but honestly, I have always believed that God is on my side. Even when I thought and felt like He was absent, something in me knew He was there, and He truly cared for me. I am forever grateful to my parents for such an upbringing that taught me a deep reverence and trust in God.

God Has not Abandoned You

During our darkest moments, it’s easy to believe that God has abandoned us. But I want to assure you, dear one, that there is a God who truly cares and is always for us, even when circumstances suggest otherwise.

As you read this blog post, you may feel overwhelmed and want to give up. I want to encourage you and tell you to hold on a little longer. Joy comes in the morning.

Sometimes, hard times harden our hearts instead of drawing us to God; they make us go the other way and leave us bitter and helpless. This feeling of helplessness can sometimes lead us to be resentful and ask questions like where is God, and why did God allow this? It draws us away from God, and today, I wanted to share a scripture that has helped me in the past. When all else fails and you are overwhelmed:

Crying Out to God

Psalm 34:17 says, “The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles.”

Crying Out to God

Knowing that God, the mighty one, is with me brings a sense of comfort and strength during tough times. It’s a reassurance that I’m not alone, that there’s a higher power watching over me. This same reassurance is available to you, my friend, in your struggles. God’s presence can bring you comfort and strength and remind you that you’re not alone and that a higher power can deliver you from all your problems.

It’s okay to feel overwhelmed; it’s okay to cry. You can pour out your heart to God, and He will listen. Your emotions are valid, and God is there to hear them.

When David was in the cave hiding from Saul and his army, he poured his heart out to God. He lifted his voice and cried out to God. David’s heart was broken, and he was scared for his life.

Maybe you feel the same way. You are at a loss because of the things you are going through, and these experiences have broken your heart. I want to encourage you to cry out to God. He will hear you even in your brokenness

Remember, God values a broken spirit and a contrite heart; He will not reject them. Whether you’re facing tough times, illness, loss, or feeling misunderstood, do not hesitate to start crying out to God, and He will hear you.
