Hey everyone, Welcome to Bold Daughters!
Thank you for finding me on this corner of the internet.
I’m Maggie Wachira, the founder of Bold Daughters.
For close to two decades, I’ve dedicated my life to caring for others as a charge nurse. This journey has not only been about healing but also about advocating for those who may not have a voice. I’ve seen firsthand the heights the human spirit can reach and the depths it can endure. My life path hasn’t been a straight line; each turn has shaped me into the resilient, passionate, and authentic individual I am today, deeply rooted in faith and community.
As a mother of three, I’ve relished the joys and navigated the challenges of parenthood. It’s a journey filled with unforgettable moments of love, laughter, and learning. I have also faced moments of self-doubt and exhaustion. Balancing family life with personal aspirations can be a daunting task, and I know exactly what it’s like to feel overwhelmed. I’m here to tell you that it is okay to stumble as long as you get back up. In every fall, there’s a lesson to be learned, and I hope to share these lessons through Bold Daughters.
Besides my healthcare career, I’ve also ventured into the business world. As a small business owner for over a decade, I’ve learned the ins and outs of trucking and logistics. This experience has instilled in me a spirit of entrepreneurship, a knack for problem-solving, and an appreciation for community engagement. Balancing the demanding roles of a nurse, wife, small business owner, mother, and Christian has given me a unique perspective on the various challenges women face. All of these roles culminated in the creation of Bold Daughters, a platform that embodies my commitment to empower women from all walks of life.
On this platform, I aim to inspire you with stories drawn from my diverse experiences. I hope to empower you with the wisdom I’ve gained and encourage you to pursue your passions, no matter the obstacles you may face. As an active member of the Kenyan Autism Parents DFW Dallas community in the USA, I am committed to promoting disability advocacy and inclusion. These values are central to the Bold Daughters community, where everyone is welcomed, heard, and appreciated.
